Alberta Health Services Committees in Edmonton

Multifaith Advisory Committee
Purpose: comprised of community members from various faith groups in Edmonton, the goal of the committee is to support the hospital in making the hospital a welcome place for people of all faiths.

 

People-Centred Committee
Purpose: To guide the development, implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive model for People-Centred care in the Capital Health Region.

 

Professional Practice Council
Purpose: To provide leadership for the advancement of professional practice and the promotion of communication, education and research within and between the health disciplines and programs at the Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH).

 

Regional Cultural Diversity Committee
Purpose: Provides a forum for discussion & coordination of core activities for enhancing cultural competency in healthcare services in the Capital Region.

 

Royal Alexandra Hospital Ethics Committee
Purpose: To provide a forum for a multi-disciplinary group of practitioners and lay people to discuss how best to assist patients, families or surrogates of patients, health professionals, hospital staff, and students, to recognize and resolve difficult ethical dilemmas in the hospital setting.
